Process for proposal, review and approval: ISCEVExtendProtocol-Nov09.pdf

ISCEV standards encourage laboratories to carry out more extensive testing for specific clinical indications and for clinical trials, but the standards do not contain recommendations for such extended protocols. To introduce consistency and better inter-laboratory comparisons, ISCEV formed a committee in 2007, chaired by Prof Eberhart Zrenner to consider the details of well-established extended protocols and to develop a process for approval.

For details of the status of protocols proposed recently, under discussion or approved, return to the main menu

Guidance for those wishing to submit an extended protocol for consideration by ISCEV is given in the attached document : ISCEVExtendProtocol-Nov09.pdf

Informal enquiries and questions should be sent to the ISCEV Director of Standards, Prof Michael Marmor <marmor@stanford.edu>
