Brief Introduction to this wiki site for ISCEV members
A Wiki is like a web site, except that you can edit the content in your browser. Wiki sites are organised as a series of so-called "webs". A web is a collection of related pages; currently we here have 3 webs, "Main", "Sandbox" and "TWiki". Each web hosts a number of 'Topics' which are similar to web pages. The main difference is that users (ISCEV members) can create their own 'Topics' with other users free to contribute to any topic.
In some topics, there will be restricted access. For example, in the new ERG Protocols, only administators will be able to modify the main text but all users will be able to comment on the content. You may create any Topic that is of interest to the ISCEV membership.
If you are an ISCEV member then your wiki name will already have been entered to the ISCEV Group. If you are visiting for the first time then please register with Twiki by clicking on the Register link (top left of this page). Your user name will have been emailed to you and it will be in wiki “camel text format” (a single word with at least two capital letters, CamelCase, ok?). For example my user name is
DavidKeating.
To obtain email messages when topics have been updated, click on 'Notifications' and follow the instructions to subscribe to the main web or specific topics.
You may also subscribe to RSS Feeds via your web browser.
Clicking the ISCEV Logo in the top left of any page will return you to the main ISCEV website.
To learn more about TWiki, visit the
TWiki web.
You may practice in the Sandbox area (a safe place where one cannot do harm) or you may create your own personal Sandbox practice page by clicking on your wikiname (top left) and selecting your personal Sandbox from the 'My Links' menu.
